- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, fryers, grills, and smokers
- Season and cook food according to recipes
- Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
- Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours

UGB started as a virtual restaurant (also known as a ghost kitchen) in the midst of heavy restrictions due to the Covid 19 pandemic. From idea to launch was only about 5 weeks and it has been a whirlwind of activity since then! Simplicity has been the hallmark of UGB (that’s what we call it), from the simple and small menu to the black and white logo to our non-descript paper bags. We never imagined that people would love the concept as much as they have!
We have been in a constant state of growth since the beginning and now we are excited to grow our brand outside of our original spot.
